What therapy services do you provide for NDIS participants?
Our psychologists deliver services to NDIS participants of all ages, helping them
achieve their plan goals. Individuals with disabilities often experience higher levels of
psychological distress compared to those without disabilities. For many, accessing
quality mental health care is crucial for improving well-being and fully participating in
life.
We offer therapy and assessments through both in-office and telehealth
appointments and are currently welcoming new clients. Our team is skilled in
assisting individuals with various disabilities and has a particular focus on providing
supportive therapy services to neurodivergent clients (e.g., autistic, ADHD, and other
neurodiverse presentations) and their families.
Our therapists will collaborate with you (or your child) to identify strengths and
interests, set clear goals, and develop strategies and skills to enhance your
engagement in life.
What are the payment arrangements for NDIS services?
We provide psychology services to participants with self-managed or plan-managed
plans. Amherst Psychology is not a registered provider and therefore does not work
with participants whose plans are NDIA (agency) managed. The fees for psychology
services in line with the NDIS fee schedule $244 per hour.
Please be aware that if your NDIS funds are plan-managed and the psychology
session/service fee exceeds the NDIS price guide amount, you will be responsible
for paying the gap/co-payment directly on the day of your session/service.
Therapeutic supports are typically provided under the Improved Daily Living item,
within the Capacity Building Category of an NDIS plan.
